ASME Joint Review Successfully Passed
28th and 29th May 2025 have been two important dates for TEC-SIM because the joint review of the ASME certification and its subsequent renewal took place.
Obtained by TEC-SIM in 1995 for the first time, the ASME U-Stamp standard is a certification issued by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers that certifies the quality and safety requirements defined by the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code by a manufacturing company. This certification is essential for the manufacturing of pressure vessels, such as tanks and boilers, intended for the international market, mainly the American one.

This is the tenth renewal of this certification for TEC-SIM thirty years after the first time. This shows the reliability of the quality system of the company based in Silea (Italy), its rigorous and constant control of the welding processes, as well as the skilled technical office.
“It was a team effort meticulously conducted by our quality office. A heartfelt thanks to the entire team for the result achieved and in particular to our quality control manager” commented Gabriele Da Re, CEO of TEC-SIM.
ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code
This code is a technical reference standard for the design, construction and inspection of pressure equipment. In particular, Section VIII Div. 1 of the code specifies requirements for the design and construction of pressure vessels.

ASME U-Stamp and R-Stamp
The U-Stamp is a stamp applied to certified equipment, demonstrating that it was manufactured in accordance with the Code.
On the other hand, the R-Stamp indicates that a company is authorized to repair or modify pressure vessels and other pressure equipment according to the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. This certification is issued by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI).
Certification Process
The ASME certification process involves a series of audits and checks by authorized inspectors, who verify the manufacturer’s compliance with the requirements of the American code. In the case of TEC-SIM, the Notified Body was Bureau Veritas Italia.
