Its privileged location requires even more attention to the company about their impact on the environment.
The River Sile is the longest spring river in Italy and it flows past eleven municipalities, which are in the provinces of Padua, Venice and Treviso, including Silea. It is a protected area, made up of springs, flora and fauna that are still uncontaminated.
TEC-SIM large orchard is the link between the natural context of the River Sile Park and our production of stainless steel equipment. Depending on the season, you can pick apples, pears, figs, pomegranates, plums and other fruits from our organic orchard… A fruit freshly picked from the tree has a completely different flavour!
In addition to the current photovoltaic system which is on the roof of our offices, a project for the installation of another photovoltaic system on the roof of the production area is underway and it will cover approximately 75% of our energy needs.
Since 2022, we have launched a project to facilitate waste sorting, promote proper recycling of materials, and reduce waste generated within our offices and production facility. This project is leading to a 45% reduction in unsorted waste.
Beside that, a microfiltration system which provides hot, cold and sparkling water has been installed to reduce the use of plastic bottles.
Since 2024, TEC-SIM has partnered up with Ricrearti, a circular economy initiative. Ricrearti aims to reuse industrial waste materials, engaging young people, people undergoing social reintegration, and people with disabilities. This partnership results in environment-friendly, ‘Made in Italy’ original products. For TEC-SIM, Ricrearti manufactured the TEC-SIM Bag and the TEC-SIM Lamp. Respectively, these are a cool bag and a lamp made from production waste and they have become Christmas gifts for company staff.
